Bacon developed a passion for music at an early age, and he began playing the guitar and singing as a teenager.
In the early 1960s, Bacon joined the vocal group The Pioneers. Bacon's sound system was also a popular venue for live performances, and many of the biggest names in Jamaican music performed on Bacon's sound system, including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer.
Later Career
In the 1970s, Bacon continued to work as a musician, record producer, and sound system operator. He also opened a record store in Kingston, which became a popular hangout for Jamaican musicians and music fans.
