Early life and career

John Farnham was born in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia, on July 1, 1949. He began his musical career in the early 1970s with the band Little River Band. In 1975, he left the band to pursue a solo career.

Farnham's solo career took off in 1986 with the release of his album "Whispering Jack". The album featured the hit singles "You're the Voice" and "Whispering Jack". "You're the Voice" became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Later career

Farnham continued to release successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He also toured extensively, performing to sold-out crowds all over the world.
